Outdoor Dual Radio Access Point (108Mbps Turbo)

The Anaptyx Mesh OD-2 is a carrier-class Mesh device, capable of operating in high bandwidth demand, client-intensive environments. This robust product features two high-powered, Atheros-based mini-PCI radios with the mesh radio user-selectable between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The two-radio design is ideally suited for use in Mesh Node/Gateway applications - one radio dedicated for meshing to an auto negotiated Mesh Node (creating a self-forming, self-healing network architecture) while the other radio is dedicated for service set broadcasting. As a repeater, the OD-2 provides WiFi connectivity while acting as a wired network connection for terminal network devices via the POE enabled RJ45 port.

The OD-2 features two N-Type antenna connectors for custom antenna application, and comes encased in a rugged NEMA 6 hinged aluminum enclosure. On the mesh, this device is capable of speeds up to 108Mbps between other turbo capable Anaptyx Mesh devices.

High User Density Deployments
- Two radios mesh devices serve up to twice as many clients as single radio access points.
- Two radio design allows for higher propagation of bandwidth per access point.

Performance Critical Networks
- Provide high-speed access to support bandwidth intensive applications such as streaming video.
- The highest performance is achieved when each AP is connected as a gateway.

Networks Requiring Sophisticated Mesh
- Dual-radio design allows several access points to wirelessly share the same connection with minimal drop in client performance.
- Reduced installation cost due to fewer required gateways.

Networks in Challenging Interference Environments
- Environments with high levels of RF interference.
- Buildings/networks saturated with 2.4 GHz can benefit from the mesh radio operating at 5 GHz.
